001# Philon | Interactive installation in collaboration with Marta Verde | artístico
Philon is an interactive installation that delves into the communal and social spaces traditionally associated with the act of washing clothes at public washhouses. This project reimagines these spaces of conversation and gathering through a modern lens, blending sensory elements with digital technology.
The installation utilizes capacitive sensors and cables to connect iconic «Marca Lagarto» soap bars to a system of video projection and sound. Each time a participant touches one of the soap bars, it triggers sounds reminiscent of the act of scrubbing clothes or the gentle movement of water. These auditory cues create a tactile, immersive experience that bridges the gap between past and present.
Another significant aspect of Philon is the olfactory dimension. The distinct scent of the soap bars is released as participants interact with the installation, transforming the space into a multi-sensory environment. This olfactory element adds depth to the experience, allowing the audience to engage with the artwork not just visually and aurally, but also through the sense of smell.
By transforming the simple act of touching soap into an audiovisual piano, Philon invites participants to explore the interconnectedness of sensory experiences and social rituals, reawakening memories of communal gathering spaces through the fusion of art and technology.
002# CHARCO | AV Performance | experimental
title CHARCO| AV PERFORMANCE
description A piece of experimental musica + live sound performance XEO-SÓNICA
The Charco project is a soundscape captured around a circular rainwater accumulation, approximately 7 meters in diameter, located on an old cement reservoir near the Atios quarries (O Porriño). This reservoir, now disused, was originally built to supply granite extraction operations, specifically in the O Carbón neighborhood, and is just a kilometer from where I grew up, in the Vilafría neighborhood.
In the background «noise,» you can hear the sounds of granite cutting with diamond wire and the industrial noises from O Porriño’s two industrial parks: the A Granxa Industrial Park, closest to the granite quarries, and the older As Gándaras Industrial Park, named after the natural lagoon where hundreds of migratory bird species used to stop during their north-to-south routes, finding suitable places to rest and recharge along the way. Added to this soundscape are birds cawing, dogs barking, humans cutting wood with chainsaws… and my own presence as the soundscape recorder, dressed in a plastic suit, acting as a technician capturing noisy sounds, creating sonic disorder, and documenting the action using two digital video cameras. For sound creation, I used elements found in the vicinity, including stones, a 3-meter-long acacia branch, and the tire of a worn-out car. I decided to leave and use the claps I made for synchronization as another element of the soundscape, giving the sound action a performative and documentary aspect.
During the post-editing of the files and after synchronization, I chose to keep the claps as “sonic punctuation marks” that create phrases between microphone changes. I also added sequences where I used the “reverse” technique, playing the sound backward, and made intensity changes to the sound to create a sense of proximity and distance.
Sound Elements:
Water Sound: The soft and abrupt splashing and murmuring of the water in the circular puddle.
Percussion Elements: Stones of various sizes, a 3-meter-long acacia branch hitting the water, and an abandoned tire thrown into the puddle.
Industrial Elements: The sounds of granite cutting with diamond wire from the Atios quarries, along with chainsaw and grinder noises.
Background Sounds: The industrial sounds from the O Porriño industrial parks, including the A Granxa and As Gándaras parks, representing the industrial activity in the area.
Ambient Sounds: Birdsong, dog barks, footsteps, breathing, and claps.
003# TOUCH&PLAY | Performance and workshop interactivo | profissional + docencia
title TOUCH&PLAY| Se permite tocar
description Interactive performance + workshop
What lies behind the production of electronic music? Attendees will learn what a synthesizer, a drum machine, a sample, a loop, and sound effects are.
Touch&Play is a performance and workshop that aims to break the barrier between the electronic artist and the audience. It invites us to discover the world behind electronic music production and brings both children and adults closer to the world hidden behind the «black boxes with buttons and keys.»
We will have the opportunity to participate, touch, and play (even making music using fruits) while having fun and learning the basics of electronic music production through instrument manipulation.
004# HAND | LAND ART (+ tracking technology) | curricular/académico
title HAND | LAND ART
description A piece of Land Art
The sculptural piece Hand explores the concept of borders, understood as places of encounter and collision. It represents the meeting point of the sea (Atlantic Ocean) with the beach (Praia de Caminha / Foz do Minho) and, in turn, with the forest (Mata Nacional do Camarido). At this location, the fresh waters of the Minho/Miño River (freshwater / H2O) merge with the Atlantic Ocean (saltwater / H2O + NaCl). It is also a border between A Guardia / Autonomous Community of Galicia / Spain and Caminha / Viana do Castelo District / Portugal.
From a semiotic perspective, the hand, as a recognizable symbol of connection, serves as an anthropomorphic element that supports a narrative representing a complete cycle. The sea acts as a transformative element, while the sand and forest represent the transformed elements. Through the organization of organic and inorganic matter deposited by the tides on the beach, the chaotic and disordered landscape is transformed by reducing entropy through the application of work and effort. This involves dragging and piling the organic matter found, following a drift process through a landscape reminiscent of a place devastated by a tsunami or hurricane. Once the process is complete and the hand structure takes shape, the passage of time, weather, and tides will once again transform the landscape, following the «Cradle to Cradle» philosophy. The Land Art piece, composed mostly of organic materials like branches and logs brought in by the tides, will eventually be carried away by the sea, rot, and return as organic compounds that will eventually nourish the forest once more.
The energy required to shape this sculptural piece and the documentation process was carried out using a smartphone, utilizing tools for photography, video, and tracking applications. These applications, typically designed to monitor activity during sports, provide data such as distance traveled, time, average speed, and calories burned, and graphically display the physical activity’s route. This graphic representation describes a tangle of crossing paths around the sculptural piece, resembling a scribble.
005# XEO-SÓNICA | Mecánica (Soundtrack) | artístico
title MECÁNICA | EXPERIMENTAL SOUNDSCAPE
description A piece of experimental musica + live sound performance XEO-SÓNICA
Xeo-sónica is a transmedia project developed by Undodez, centered around the exploration of sound. This first phase of the project focuses on the Atlantic, creating a journey through noise, sounds, and music, all connected to the life of the sea.
Soundscapes are recorded at various coastal locations in Galicia, with noise being used as a performative element. These interventions will be presented to the public as a concert-performance, featuring pieces created from the collected material.
Additionally, artistic sound-musical pieces will be created based on the sounds gathered during the production of these works. One of the actions will involve decontextualizing sounds through an installation in a shipping container that will travel across the province of A Coruña. On the other hand, the sound pieces will be presented in a concert-performance at the Museo do Mar de Galicia.

006# LUX TRANSITIO | Performance | artístico
title LUX TRANSITIO
description Performance with light
LUX TRANSITIO is a performance/artistic intervention focused on light and the transition of bodies and images. It explores the passage from day to night, from one place to another, from one state of the body to another, from one vision to the next, and from one movement to another.
The performance invites the audience to join in a shared nocturnal walk, a sort of drift through a predefined route that encourages a renewed perspective on our surroundings and our relationships with them. Throughout the walk, moments of dance and projected images unfold across streets, corners, and facades.
The projections display daytime images of the very streets, corners, and facades we observe, as well as images of the body we see moving live. Spaces are illuminated by themselves. A dancing body moves in sync with its own image. By playing with distances, synchronicities, and the scales of the images and our own bodies, we blend times, dimensions, and layers.
007# SON DA CANTEIRA | Video Mapping + Light Design | profissional
title SON DA CANTEIRA
description Video Mapping + Light Design
The Sons da Canteira Festival is an innovative event that merges modern artistic expression with a natural environment, deeply rooted in Galicia’s industrial history. As part of the festival’s inaugural edition, I had the honor of opening the event with a multimedia performance specifically designed for this unique setting.
Born just a few meters from the quarry where the festival took place, I sought to create a performance that resonated with the location’s history and significance. My role extended beyond performance; I also served as a key member of the production team, where I was responsible for the projections and videomapping that enhanced the visual experience throughout the seven-hour festival.
This project allowed me to blend my personal connection to the site with my expertise in multimedia art, resulting in an immersive experience that celebrated both the natural beauty and industrial legacy of the region.
008# VESPERI LUX | Performance | artístico
title VESPERI LUX
description Collaborative Performance with Miguel Gendre
Vexperi Lux is a performance that evolved through a dynamic interplay of imagery and movement, intertwined with the integration of technological devices for video and audio. Our aim was to preserve the essence of performance art—a structured piece infused with spontaneity and experimentation, allowing for the unpredictability of live interaction.
The central theme of this work revolves around the individual’s quest for intimacy within public and shared spaces, and within the very framework of the performance itself. In today’s society, where we increasingly expose our supposed “intimacy,” true moments of isolation, where we can genuinely enjoy solitude, are becoming scarce.
The performance was structured to guide the audience through a series of experiential spaces:
- Automaton: Upon entering, the audience encounters an automaton-like figure moving through the space in straight lines, delineating perimeters while taking pills, representing a state of anesthesia and detachment.
- Awakening: The automaton decides to stop taking the pills, realizing their negative impact. This symbolizes the surveillance of humanity in the age of social media, leading to a frenzied, stressed state, reflecting the chaotic rhythm of daily life.
- Search for Light: The performance then shifts towards a quest for light and calmness, representing the need to slow down and reconnect with one’s inner self. Here, the human figure, like a moth drawn to light, enters a dream-like state of apparent tranquility.
- The Text and Reflection: This segment invites introspection—what movements do we want for ourselves? How do we wish to navigate through life? Are we truly free?
- Conclusion: The final scene brings the audience into the intimate space of the performer—enjoying a glass of wine, listening to a meaningful song, and allowing the body to move freely, sharing this intimate moment with the observers.
Through Vexperi Lux, we sought to blur the lines between performer and audience, merging personal introspection with public exposure, and inviting the viewers to reflect on their own movement through life.
009# Nexø | Live AV Performance in collaboration with Acacia Ojea | artístico
Nexø is a live audiovisual performance created by the duo Dead Line, consisting of Juanma LoDo and Acacia Ojea. The project is inspired by the terms “nøkke” (water spirit) and “sæ” (sea), representing the fusion of two distinct perspectives on how we listen to and perceive the world.
Drawing on the rich, textured soundscapes and visuals of the sea, Nexø explores the intersection of sound and vision, transforming them into a cohesive audiovisual experience. This live performance is the culmination of a collaborative research process that took place at the Museum of Contemporary Art of Vigo (MARCO) in 2021.
In Nexø, the ocean’s ever-changing nature is both the subject and the medium, guiding the creation of an immersive piece that invites the audience to dive deep into the sensory interplay of sound and image. Through this performance, Dead Line seeks to evoke the mysterious, fluid essence of the sea, creating a space where the audience can engage with its rhythms and textures in real-time.
010# Faster/Alive | Videoclip Faster/Alive for Yugen Kala by Live Pixel | profissional
I produced this music video for Yugen Kala in collaboration with Marta Verde
Directed by Pixel Muerto (Marta Verde & Juanma LoDo)
Faster/Alive is a unique audiovisual piece created for the music group Yugen Kala by the creative duo Pixel Muerto, composed of Marta Verde and Juanma LoDo. Nico and Héctor of Yugen Kala first connected with Pixel Muerto through their shared experiences at festivals like WOS and Mira, leading to this collaboration.
The videoclip, produced during the height of the COVID-19 quarantine, draws on the visual language of the internet and social media, blending it with conceptual references, including a piece by the artist Bruce Nauman. The result is a thought-provoking reflection on the construction of online identities and how they shape our perception of reality.
Faster/Alive challenges viewers to consider the impact of our digital personas in an era where the boundaries between the virtual and the real are increasingly blurred. Through this work, Yugen Kala and Pixel Muerto explore themes of identity, reality, and the future of human interaction, all within the context of a global pandemic that has transformed our relationship with both the digital and physical worlds.
We also use analog video recording and editing devices, adding a tactile, hands-on element to our work. Additionally, we create real-time and edited music videos for video platforms and the promotion of musical groups. By embracing unpredictability and incorporating glitch and datamoshing techniques, alongside both modern and analog methods, as well as software and creative coding, we allow the spontaneous interactions between audio and visuals to guide our art, resulting in an ever-evolving, immersive experience.
